With over 20 years of experience as a business owner and community leader, Kathleen has come to realize that most individuals, businesses, and families need some help organizing their time, space or information. In 2004, while serving as Vice President of Cowley International, Inc., a global consulting firm, she decided to break into the professional organizing industry and launched KC Streamline Concepts in order to help individuals and businesses create productive and less stressful working and living environments.
By observing her clients’ homes and offices over the years during on-site productivity assessments, Kathleen discovered that every disorganized office or home space has what she calls “The Dumping Zone.” While piecing together a desktop filing system for a client, expending lots of time and money in the process, she recognized the industry’s need for an all-inclusive and customizable tickler filing system. Five years ago, she designed, developed, and launched the Alpha-Omega Organizer™. In 2010, she created the NotableXchange™ to help professionals curb their business card chaos at networking events. It has been received with rave reviews!
Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Shenandoah University. She is a speaker, member of Diva ToolBox and Blog Talk Radio Host; is an active member of the National Association for Professional Organizers (NAPO), eWomen Network, and the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce. When she’s not organizing, networking, speaking, or dreaming up a new product, Kathleen enjoys spending time with her husband of 33 years, 3 grown children and two grandsons at their home on Lake Norman in North Carolina.
Have you ever wondered who’s behind our Twitter “voice”? It’s Megan – our social media, marketing and communications guru! Megan joined KC Streamline Concepts four years ago when our product development was really starting to take off and we were in need of a “Jane of all trades.” She is fully involved in the design and production of our product line and strategizes, manages, and executes our marketing and communications plans. In addition, Megan is responsible for the day-to-day management of our affiliate sales program. Megan finds genuine fulfillment in creating products that help individuals and families organize their time and space so they can spend more time doing the things they enjoy most.
Prior to joining KC Streamline Concepts, Megan served as an Account Executive for a large graphic design firm in New York City, where she was responsible for the prospecting and acquisition of new clients, managing design projects, and contract negotiation with vendors. Her client list included the Coca-Cola Company, Warner Music Group, The Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, and the Young Women’s Leadership Foundation. She has also tried her hand at managing a graphic design studio, non-profit special events management, and (gasp!) insurance.
Megan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Writing and Rhetoric from Elon University. She is a Member of NAPO and resides in San Jose, California with her husband of 4 years. Megan is also the owner of Organized Flutter, a full-service professional organizing firm specializing in home and office organizing and inventory documentation.
